About the position

The purpose of this role will be to work closely with the Warehouse team in ensuring correct stock is in the right place

at the right time, which will include the management of goods-in and inventory team functions. 

This role will include, but not be limited to:

  • Goal: The right stock in the right place at the right time
  • Functional areas of responsibility: Goods-in and Inventory management
  • Management of the Goods in and Inventory teams and functions, aligning space and resource against the requirements of the business and operation.
  • Ensuring that inbound deliveries are scheduled in collaboration with Purchasing and other company facilities, and the items received are put away to meet KPI’s.
  • Responsibility for stock accuracy, investigation and remedy of discrepancies.
  • Storage space efficiency and design to drive operational efficiency.
  • Be a prominent and vocal member of the H&S committee, designing and managing execution of H&S SOP’s.
  • Management reporting against key KPI’s.
  • Inbound delivery schedule
  • Inbound QC
  • Put away
  • Stock Take and cyclical stock counts
  • Space efficiency and consolidation
  • Pick face design, scheduled review and rebuild
  • Pick face replenishment routines
  • H&S SOP’s for areas of responsibility

We ask:

  • Relevant experience in a fast-moving, high throughput manufacturing and fulfilment environment.
  • Understanding of linked operations such as Purchasing and Manufacturing.
  • Understanding and experience of ERP and WMS systems.
  • Demonstrable experience of team building and management.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Good numeracy and analytical skills.
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Knowledge and experience of working and developing WMS systems.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a small team and with staff at all levels and with partner organisations, suppliers and clients.
  • Be receptive to fast moving, challenging and rapidly changing and expanding operations.
  • Able to work under pressure in a calm and mature manner.
  • Ability to multi-task and constantly reappraise timescales and priorities
  • Self-motivated, ability to show initiative and develop creative solutions


  • Relevant H&S qualifications
  • Degree qualified in a numerical or operations related discipline is desirable
